New York Institute of Technology needed to refresh their university website, so I and my fellow co-workers in the Communications and Marketing Department sought out a design agency to completely overhaul our outdated web presence. Working with a mobile-friendly and completely responsive template designed by Happy Cog, I primarily chose the photos and images that would be used in the relaunch. In essence, I helped art direct the entire site: from the usability in the planning stages with Happy Cog, to now. In fact, to this day, I still art direct the digital images of the homepage and subsequent academic and administrative sections of the site. I’m also tasked to create animated gifs in order to maintain a sense of flair for the webpage, curate faculty photos, and design new pages that break out of the template. The redesign of NYIT has also garnered a few awards.
